Good to know

Note: 4WD (or AWD) vehicle required to get up steep driveway, or you can walk it (1000'). Set on 8 mountain acres, Treetops Cabin provides mountain views from the main and upper decks, with rockers, a swing, and a chair hammock on the main deck, and a soft sectional sofa on the upper deck. Inside, the top floor features a large loft that looks out to the upper deck, with a sleeper sectional sofa, stocked game/puzzle table, 60" TV, and two easy chairs. Just off the loft is the spacious master bedroom with a king bed, armchair, and small desk. Relax in the whirlpool soaking tub beneath the skylight in the en suite bathroom, which also has a walk-in shower. The main floor features an open-plan living and dining space, with bay window, fireplace, sectional sofa, and comfy velvet armchairs. The dining table expands to seat large groups. Chat with your cook at the cooking island with new induction cooktop and four cushioned bar stools. Cooks will love the large, well-lit prep space in the well-stocked kitchen, with new dishwasher, new fridge, microwave, wall oven, plenty of dishes and serving pieces, slow cooker, blender, hand mixer, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, and French press. Off the main living area, find one bedroom with queen bed and another with a bunk bed that sleeps four (twin over full with a twin trundle), plus a bath with tub-shower combo. All bedside lamps in the cabin include a USB port, and the rooms have plenty of outlets for all your electronics. The basement is unfinished but does have a new washer and dryer and a bumper pool table and basketball arcade game. Outdoors is a rustic firepit and room to explore. Excellent internet with newly installed gigabit fiber!

Other Details to Note

Because Treetops Cabin was built in 1991, its deck and loft railings have wider spacing than today's codes, so parents of toddlers should use caution.

We loved our stay at the cabin. Enjoyed scenic views, quiet place in nature that still let us venture out in Asheville. The space was great, kids loved the basketball. Fully stocked kitchen. Responsive to any questions about the area. Would love to return!
